AI Engineer - FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer)

Mission: The AI Forward Deployed Engineering (AI FDE) team delivers professional services to help customers build and productionize first-of-its-kind AI applications. The team works cross-functionally with engineering, product, and developer relations, and supports internal SME teams. This role is for experienced engineers with demonstrated industry experience designing, building, and deploying production GenAI and LLM applications at scale. Not for internship, new graduate, or entry-level applicants.

Impact: Develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions, own production rollouts of consumer and internal GenAI applications, serve as a trusted technical advisor, present at conferences, and collaborate with product and engineering to shape the roadmap.

What we look for: Experience building GenAI applications including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning, with tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy. Expertise in deploying production-grade GenAI applications with evaluation and optimizations. Extensive hands-on industry data science experience with pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc. Experience with production ML deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Graduate degree in quantitative discipline or equivalent. Strong communication and teaching skills. Preferred: Databricks Intelligence Platform and Apache Spark. Willing to travel every 4-8 weeks.

Pay Range: $152,900—$210,155 USD (local pay range). Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
