Cloud Software Engineer - Observability Platform

Role: We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our Observability organization, working across the Observability Platform and Internal Observability teams. These teams build and operate systems that process trillions of events per day, sustaining throughput in the hundreds of millions of events per second.

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems for telemetry ingestion, processing, and storage at high scale.
• Own reliability, performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency of telemetry pipelines.
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive root-cause fixes.
• Build software and automation to eliminate repetitive operational work.
• Identify architectural bottlenecks and shape the roadmap.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and service teams.

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go.
• Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm, Argo CD), and at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands-on experience with telemetry systems (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Bonus: Experience with ClickHouse, high-throughput ingestion, multi-tenant services, cost optimization, and TypeScript.

Compensation: The typical starting salary in the US is $141,000–$220,000 USD; in US Premium Markets (e.g., SF Bay Area, NYC Metro) it is $185,000–$230,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary.
