About the Role
As a Delivery Solutions Architect (DSA) at Databricks, you will collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to accelerate adoption and growth of the Databricks platform. You will be the post-sale technical lead across all Databricks products, driving customer success and maximizing return on investment for complex customers. This is a hybrid technical and commercial role, reporting to a DSA Manager within the Field Engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Solutions Architects to understand the full use case demand plan for prioritized customers.
- Lead the post-technical win technical account strategy and execution plan for the majority of Databricks use cases within strategic accounts.
- Be the accountable technical leader for specific use cases, driving onboarding, enablement, success, go-live, and healthy consumption.
- Serve as the first contact for technical issues related to production/go-live status.
- Leverage Shared Services, User Education, Onboarding/Technical Services, and Support resources.
- Create and execute plans to accelerate use cases into production, coordinating with Professional Services.
- Navigate Databricks Product and Engineering teams for new innovations and upgrades.
- Develop execution plans covering use case progression, enablement, product adoption, and governance.
- Provide KPI reporting on usage and customer health to the Technical GM.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience accountable for technical project/program delivery in Data and AI.
- Programming experience in Python, SQL, or Scala.
- Experience in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting.
- Understanding of solution architecture for distributed data systems.
- Ability to attribute business value to project deliverables.
- Technical program/project management including account, stakeholder, and resource management.
- Experience resolving escalations with senior customer executives.
- Experience conducting discovery workshops, creating roadmaps, and managing complex programs.
- Track record of overachievement against quota or similar objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Can travel up to 30% when needed.
Compensation & Benefits
Canada Pay Range: $175,800—$241,800 CAD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits. Databricks offers comprehensive benefits and perks; specific details vary by region.
