Pinterest is hiring a Director, Marketing Technology & Innovation, the most senior technology leader within our Marketing, Creative and Communications organization. This role leads a hybrid team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs), AI Solutions Engineers, and third-party platform engineering partners, starting as a player-coach.
What you'll do
- Lead AI Solutions & Platform and Tools: own the AI roadmap and intake process for Marketing, Creative and Communications; drive production-grade AI solution development; lead the Platform & Tools team that owns the marketing sites platform and tools ecosystem.
- Own & Evolve the MarTech Stack: own end-to-end strategy, technical selection, and system integration of a broad marketing tech ecosystem (CRM, MAP, CDP, DAM, social management, campaign tooling); focus on system connectivity, API orchestration, and platform uptime; oversee event-tracking and media enablement infrastructure; manage vendor lifecycle and marketing technology budget.
- Embed AI Across the Marketing Stack: implement AI natively within the MarTech stack, including agentic AI workforces for automation; build production-grade AI solutions with adoption plans.
- Operate as an Executive Thought Leader: influence across leadership, represent Pinterest's MarTech vision externally.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 10 years of technical leadership experience (Director-level scope) building, configuring, and integrating enterprise MarTech systems (CRM, MAP, CDP, DAM).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on marketing experience and hands-on AI implementation experience (LLMs like OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) directly into marketing stacks.
- Experience with agentic AI systems, data science partnership, and full-stack MarTech fluency.
- Strong technical command of web platform architecture, API integrations, CMS ecosystems, and modern delivery practices (CI/CD, agile).
Compensation
US based applicants only. Base salary range: $192,929—$397,206 USD. The position is also eligible for equity.
