Senior Director, Product & Technology Finance

Reddit is seeking a solid, analytical, strategic, creative, knowledgeable, and visionary finance leader to join our Finance team as a Senior Director, Product and Technology Finance. In this role, you will provide strategic and value-added financial leadership in partnership with our Engineering organization, driving alignment and resourcing planning decisions, and improving accuracy of reporting/insights. You will also be involved in standing up a financial process for evaluating and tracking Global Technology decisions, working cross-functionally with tax, legal, accounting, audit, and other organizations.

• Develop and build a Product Finance function, establishing robust processes that align financial rigor with product velocity, including designing a strategic framework for evaluating investments with ambiguous or long-term returns.
• Support Reddit’s Engineering organization by providing financial modeling assistance for key business decisions, prioritizing resources and investments for best ROI, and reconciling engineering issues with long-term forecasts.
• Deliver engineering P&Ls by owning financial forecasts, annual operating plan, budget tracking, and long-range plan, and providing actionable insights (e.g., productivity analysis, ROI, contractor spend optimization, capex management).
• Track and report KPIs against strategic Cloud Hosting agreements, optimizing costs across a dual cloud environment.
• Partner with business development and corporate development teams on growth initiatives, M&A assessment, and post-deal results.
• Support the CTO and CPO in product rationalization and evaluate how developer productivity decisions correlate to financial efficiencies.
• Oversee production of complex financial models and prepare presentations for strategic business decisions.
• Develop strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled workforce, diagnosing capability gaps and recruiting/developing talent.

• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or similar quantitative discipline (MBA, CPA preferred but not required).
• 15+ years of FP&A experience, with 2+ years supporting cloud infrastructure and cloud cost analysis, and 5+ years of people management.
• Must have experience working with AWS or GCP cloud products.
• Experience in investment banking or consulting required.
• Experience working with Engineering a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial statements including B/S, P&L, and drivers for margin.
• Proven proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint presentations, and deck creation.
• Strategic thinker with leadership, vision, and insight; hands-on manager with strong finance background.
• Ability to partner with stakeholders across the organization and drive projects forward.

Base salary range: $260,000—$390,000 USD. Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units, and possibly commission.
