About the Role
Chime is looking for a seasoned engineering leader to help manage and guide the Data team to build a scalable and self-serve data foundation. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead efforts to democratize data with stronger governance.
Responsibilities
- Drive AI-driven, data-centric initiatives to accelerate business growth and improve decision-making.
- Partner with Analytics, Product, Data Science, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, trusted, and secure data products.
- Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, setting high expectations and driving operational excellence.
- Collaborate across teams to prioritize work, resolve issues, and remove delivery obstacles.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience leading Data Engineering teams.
- Proven experience building scalable, AI-ready data platforms, semantic models, and trusted data products.
- Strong partnership with Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Marketing.
- Experience driving engineering excellence, including data quality, governance, CI/CD, and operational reliability.
- Experience with Growth and Marketing data platforms, including attribution, funnels, and experimentation.
- Experience supporting teams on tech stack such as Spark, Snowflake, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Key-Value store, dbt.
Compensation
Base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $199,000.00 and up to $275,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits.
