About the role: Anthropic is hiring an EHS Specialist to lead Environment, Health and Safety across our EMEA region. Based in Dublin, you'll own EHS execution across EMEA sites, partner with the EHS Lead in the US, and co-author EMEA-tuned programs to meet UK, Irish, and EU regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities
- Own EHS execution across EMEA sites, including inspections, hazard/risk assessments, and ergonomic reviews.
- Investigate incidents, manage occupational health cases, and support health and safety committees and emergency response teams.
- Co-build EMEA versions of core EHS programs (emergency action plans, fire safety, ergonomics, contractor safety, occupational health, training).
- Serve as in-region owner for fire safety and compliance, including Fire Risk Assessments and duty-holder requirements.
- Manage hazardous materials, indoor air quality, water safety (Legionella), and lighting standards.
- Support new-country and new-office stand-ups with pre-opening EHS assessments.
- Deliver EHS training, manage vendor relationships, and maintain EHS documentation and reporting systems.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role, with regional EHS ownership.
- Strong knowledge of UK and Irish EHS regulatory frameworks (HSE, HSA), ideally additional EU jurisdictions.
- Working knowledge of fire safety regulation across Europe (e.g., UK Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order).
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear decisions and push back on safety issues.
- Passion for workplace EHS and ability to motivate others.
- Resilient and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
- Clear writing for SOPs, playbooks, and training content.
- Hands-on experience with EHS software tools.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in EHS-related field, NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH membership, ISO 45001/14001 familiarity, French/German regulatory experience, occupational health/fire safety/industrial hygiene background.
Compensation: Annual salary range: €125,000 - €165,000 EUR.
Benefits: Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, including parental leave, flexible working hours, and a collaborative office space.
