International Payroll Lead

Reddit is a community of communities, home to 100,000+ active communities and approximately 130 million daily active unique visitors. We are seeking an experienced, highly analytical International Payroll Lead to own and scale global payroll operations across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC regions. Reporting to the Sr. Global Payroll Manager, this individual contributor will drive strategic initiatives including Workday enhancements and global payroll vendor implementations.

• Manage, audit, and execute multi-country payroll delivery across 15+ countries, including inputs, validation, approvals, funding, reconciliations, statutory filings, and post-payroll activities.
• Lead the payroll calendar and operating cadence, managing dependencies, cutoffs, exceptions, and risks.
• Partner with local in-country payroll providers to ensure adherence to regional pay schedules and statutory processing windows.
• Oversee global equity compensation payroll processing (RSUs, Stock Options) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as functional lead for payroll technology projects, leveraging Workday to automate workflows and build custom reporting.
• Partner with Benefits, People Operations, Legal, and Finance; manage external vendor relationships.
• Establish and enforce global payroll policies, SOX controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Support M&A integrations, new country market entries, and cross-functional launches.

• 5–7+ years of progressive payroll operations experience in a high-growth, publicly traded tech company.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in payroll, accounting, finance, HR, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with Workday Payroll and global payroll software platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (vlookups, index/match, pivot tables).
• Thorough understanding of global equity taxation, statutory compliance, international labor laws, and multi-currency payroll distribution.
• Strong problem-solving, discretion, and communication skills.

Compensation: Base salary range $143,600—$201,000 USD, plus equity in the form of restricted stock units.
