Manager II, Engineering- Analytics Engineering, Core Data Science

Pinterest is seeking an Analytics Engineering Manager II to lead a team within Core Data Science, focused on improving the quality and velocity of data science at Pinterest. You will build data foundations and tooling, and partner closely with the Core Data Science organization.

• Build, inspire, and grow a high-performance, diverse team of analytics engineers.
• Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate them to product engineering teams.
• Build and prototype AI tools and analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale.
• Use AI to accelerate analysis, prototyping, and iteration, while ensuring correctness and quality.
• Work with Data Scientists and Engineers to enable self-service of key datasets and insights.
• Contribute to documentation and drive strategy for data quality and democratization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to build and communicate key insights.

• 6+ years of experience working with data, including experience managing engineers.
• Fluency in SQL and a scripting language (Python or R), including nested data structures, windowing functions, query optimization, and data partitioning.
• Experience with workflow orchestration and ETL/ELT on large datasets, handling DAG dependencies.
• Track record of delivering analytics solutions and scoping open-ended goals.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional leadership and turn insights into actions.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality, with critical evaluation of AI-assisted work.
• High integrity and ownership, protecting sensitive data.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.

Base salary range: $177,185—$364,795 USD. Eligible for equity. Benefits information available on Pinterest's careers site.

This role is remote within the US, with in-office collaboration 1-2 times per month. Not eligible for relocation assistance.
