Okta Identity Engineer

As the Okta Identity Engineer, you will architect, design, and implement identity and access management solutions.

• Design, implement, and maintain Okta identity and access management solutions.
• Integrate Okta with various applications and systems.
• Develop and configure SSO and MFA solutions using Okta.
• Design automation with Okta Workflows and/or AI-powered tools.
• Perform regular system audits and security assessments.
• Monitor identities, access rights, and usage patterns.
• Troubleshoot Okta configurations and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• 5+ years of IT experience, 3+ years of Okta experience.
• Experience using Okta as an enterprise identity provider.
• Knowledge of Okta features, integrations, and architecture.
• Understanding of authentication protocols such as SAML 2.0 or OAuth/SSO.
• Experience with identity management, IDaaS, provisioning, user lifecycle operations, and federation.
• Experience with automated provisioning using SCIM or JIT.
• Experience configuring user authentication policies and application connections in Okta.
• Experience configuring MFA factors including Okta Verify, FIDO tokens, OTP, and RSA tokens.
• Experience building automation using Okta Workflows, REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON.
• Using Terraform for configuration management.

Compensation: The typical starting salary range is $94,300—$149,200 USD. In select locations (Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, San Francisco Bay Area CA, New York City Metro Area), the range is $113,300—$179,200 USD. This role is eligible for Elastic's stock program and a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings.
