About the role
Lyft Urban Solutions operates bike-share and scooter-share systems in over 60 cities worldwide, including Capital Bikeshare in the DC area. As an Operations Specialist, you will support the General Manager of Capital Bikeshare in developing and executing operational plans with a focus on service quality, operational excellence, and customer experience. You will handle hands-on problem solving and work on projects to improve the system.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth daily field operations: create/refine playbooks and SOPs, oversee contractor relationships, and perform quality checks in field and depot.
- Own end-to-end processes like invoicing and asset tracking.
- Audit performance against SLAs, identifying and escalating risks and inefficiencies.
- Support the team in maintaining relationships with city partners and addressing market-specific issues.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify root causes, using data to drive improvements.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
- Manage shifting priorities effectively.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience overseeing operations in a complex, fast-moving environment (e.g., distribution warehouse, marketplace, delivery operation).
- Experience using Google Sheets and other data analysis tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven track record of data-based problem-solving.
Nice to have
- Experience in warehouse or hands-on operations.
- Strong interest in biking, bikeshare, sustainable transportation, and city planning.
- Familiarity with AI tools.

Compensation
Expected base pay range for the Washington D.C. area is $66,240 - $82,800, not inclusive of potential equity, bonus, or benefits.
Work arrangement
Hybrid: in-office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
