People Systems Developer

Datadog's People Technology team is building AI-native workflows to transform HR processes. This role involves designing, building, and deploying AI-enabled systems across talent acquisition, onboarding, performance, workforce planning, and internal service delivery. Responsibilities include prototyping with LLMs, APIs, and automation frameworks, integrating AI into systems like Workday, Greenhouse, Slack, Snowflake, Jira, and Google Workspace, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure responsible AI practices. Success includes reducing manual People workflows by at least 20% through AI automation. Qualifications: 3-5 years of software engineering or systems engineering experience, proven ability to build LLM-powered features or intelligent agents, strong API integration and workflow automation (n8n, Zapier, Workato), familiarity with HR systems preferred, and ability to work independently. Compensation: $156,000-$195,000 USD plus equity and benefits. Datadog is a hybrid workplace with offices in Boston, Denver, and New York.
