About the job

About Figma

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world.

Role Overview

We're looking for deeply technical Product Managers to own the developer platform: Figma’s MCP Server, REST API, and key first-party integrations like Figma for Slack and Figma for ChatGPT/for Claude. These roles sit at the intersection of product and infrastructure. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you'll do at Figma

  • Define and drive the strategy for one or more parts of our developer platform: the big bets, build-vs-buy calls, and how to sequence it all.
  • Areas include: Design↔code platform (how we translate between designs in Figma’s SceneGraph to code in customers’ Makes and production codebases) and External platform (how external AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor access Figma context using our MCP Server & REST APIs, and how/when Figma’s AI products appear in other surfaces like Slack, Microsoft Teams).
  • Influence product roadmaps where platform capabilities create new product opportunities.
  • Partner with EM and tech leads to make key architecture and UX decisions.
  • Talk frequently with product teams, customers, and our partners & vendors, and distill learnings into platform commitments.
  • Raise the bar for technical PMs at Figma: pattern-match across the four areas, surface cross-cutting problems, and pull peers and EMs into the calls that need them.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of product management experience working on highly technical products.
  • Proven experience shipping developer tools, infrastructure products, or AI-powered technical systems.
  • Shipped measurable quality improvements to a product, with ability to point to metrics that moved.
  • Hands-on technical fluency: built and shipped things yourself (at work, side projects, or open source), can read a PR, and participate actively in architecture conversations.
  • Strong systems thinking: understand how complex components interact and improve the whole.
  • Technical communication: distill highly technical concepts into clear decisions and direction.
  • Track record of driving strategy and execution across ambiguous, fast-moving product areas.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Base Salary Range: $169,000—$303,000 USD. Figma offers equity to employees, as well as a competitive package of additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage; retirement benefits with company contributions; parental leave and reproductive or family planning support; mental health and wellness benefits; and paid time off. Figma provides paid sick leave, holidays, and other leave benefits in compliance with applicable laws. Exempt employees are eligible for employer-provided paid flexible PTO in addition to flexible paid sick leave. Additional benefits may include company recharge days, cell phone and home internet reimbursements, and lifestyle spending accounts. Figma also offers an annual bonus plan for eligible non-sales roles.
