Role Overview
As a Lead Product Marketing Manager, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping how merchants experience Affirm's products. You will define product strategy, lead high-impact go-to-market initiatives, and develop compelling narratives that drive business outcomes. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong product intuition, strategic thinking, and a bias for action.
Responsibilities
- Shape product strategy through customer and competitive insights, partnering with Product to inform the roadmap.
- Lead end-to-end GTM strategy and execution for high-impact initiatives, from beta to full launch, including value propositions, segmentation, and launch measurement.
- Design and execute programs to drive merchant engagement and adoption at scale, collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Enablement, and Partnership.
- Develop messaging and materials for key client-facing moments, including bi-annual roadmap meetings with top merchants.
- Navigate ambiguity, manage multiple high-priority initiatives, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Leverage business and product acumen to shape GTM and product decisions aligned with company objectives.
- Serve as a culture carrier, championing Affirm's values and fostering collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or a similar role, ideally in Payments or Fintech.
- Proven track record of leading product launches and driving GTM strategy.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and ability to connect customer needs, market trends, and product development.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Highly analytical mindset, confident with data and able to extract insights.
- Experience navigating ambiguity and driving alignment in fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally.
- Outstanding prioritization and project management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay range: $185,000 - $245,000 for CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT; $164,000 - $224,000 for all other U.S. states. Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents. Flexible time off and generous holiday calendars are provided. Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) available.
