About the Role

Peloton is seeking a Security Engineer to support its security operations, focusing on incident response, threat detection, and automation. The role involves improving detections, building automations, and contributing to the security roadmap in a fast-paced environment without a traditional SOC tier structure.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and strategic analysis of intelligence data for threat hunting.
  • Stay current on vulnerabilities, threat actors, IOCs, TTPs, and trends.
  • Provide intel-driven insights and search for anomalous or malicious activity.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineering and SOC to baseline behaviors and build detections.
  • Provide triage support for incident response and investigations.
  • Recommend and build countermeasures based on threat analysis.
  • Develop and maintain security incident playbooks/runbooks.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Automate repetitive SOC workflows using AI-powered triage and LLM-assisted investigation.
  • Design and ship homegrown security tooling, leveraging AI-assisted development.
  • Translate threat intelligence into actionable control recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in Information Security.
  • Experience in incident response or threat detection required.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes), SaaS platforms (O365, Google Workspace), or IAM.
  • Strong knowledge of Incident Response principles and processes.
  • Experience with automation for alert intake/triage/incident handling.
  • Expert experience with SIEM tools or data lakes.
  • Experience with attacker methodologies and EDR tooling.
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools as a primary development accelerator.
  • Relevant certifications: GCIH, GCFE, GCIA, GCFA, AWS Security Specialty.

Compensation

Base salary range: $112,300—$151,500 USD.
