About the Role

As a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager at Fivetran + dbt Labs, you will shape market perception, build compelling narratives, drive product adoption, and shape how products are used by enterprise customers. This is a cross-functional, generalist technical PMM role supporting key product areas and scaling technical product marketing across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Create high-impact technical collateral including architecture diagrams, demos, white papers, blogs, pitch decks, and technical guides.
  • Conduct research on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics across the modern data ecosystem.
  • Partner with Product Management to understand features, technical capabilities, and customer use cases.
  • Act as a technical marketing partner to GTM Product Marketers, Demand Generation, Regional Marketing, Sales, and Enablement.
  • Collaborate with Partner Marketing to showcase integrations and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Operationalize technical product marketing best practices and stay current on data integration, cloud data platforms, AI, deployment models, and governance.
  • Represent Fivetran as a platform expert through events, presentations, webinars, and hands-on labs.

Skills We're Looking For

  • 2-4 years of experience in product marketing, data engineering, product management, sales engineering, and/or data and analytics consulting.
  • Data industry experience: hands-on work with or knowledge of data engineering, data integration, databases, data warehouses, and related technologies (e.g., SQL, dbt, python, Spark).
  • Knowledge of modern data infrastructure and tools, particularly data lakes.
  • Experience partnering and coaching across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Understanding of the needs of data engineers, data scientists, data architects, and technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

Oakland Pay Range: $178,069—$222,586 USD. Benefits include 100% employer-paid medical insurance, generous paid time off, RSU stock grants, professional development, cell phone stipend, and mental health support platform.
