Senior Community Manager

Fivetran, a data integration company that recently combined with dbt Labs, is hiring a Senior Community Manager to join the dbt community team. The role leads digital engagement, primarily managing and growing the dbt Slack community to create a welcoming, high-signal space for data practitioners worldwide.

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community, including moderation, member support, and community health.
• Develop scalable moderation and support workflows (triage, escalation paths, response playbooks) and enforce the Code of Conduct.
• Coach and recruit moderators and community champions; create content systems (announcements, highlights, prompts, storytelling).
• Surface community insights to Product, Marketing, and Support; monitor engagement and health metrics and run experiments.
• Manage the community tool stack (Slack workflows, analytics, knowledge base, integrations, web portal) and support cross-channel efforts (forums, social, events).

• 5+ years in digital community management in a global or distributed environment.
• Experience owning operations for a large online community (Slack/Discord/forum), including moderation and community health.
• Experience with community tooling and analytics (e.g., Slack workflows, Common Room) and data-informed decision making with KPIs.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Support, and Developer Experience; cultural fluency and high emotional intelligence.

New York Pay Range: $130,068—$162,585.50 USD
