Senior Customer Engineer - Washington DC

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer to drive technical go-to-market strategy, owning the technical relationship from discovery through adoption and expansion. This quota-carrying role leverages AI-augmented workflows to focus on high-value architectural design and measurable business outcomes.

• Identify and map customer initiatives to Cloudflare solutions
• Build relationships and technical champions within accounts
• Deliver presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts
• Lead technical discovery, onboarding, and adoption
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business and account growth
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle
• Automate routine tasks using AI agents and internal platforms

Minimum: Experience in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, etc.), broad technical expertise in web security, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture, commercial mindset with SaaS metrics understanding, and exceptional communication skills.

Preferred: Hands-on experience with Cloudflare's AI stack (Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize), prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, RAG, and proficiency in Python or JavaScript.

Estimated annual salary of $202,000 - $278,000 for Washington DC based hires, including on-target incentive compensation under Cloudflare's Sales Compensation Plan. Eligible for equity.
