- Build Decision-Making Tools – Design and automate dashboards, models, and reporting systems.
- Support Revenue Accounting – Build and maintain data products that underpin the Revenue Accounting organization.
- Ensure Compliance & Governance – Apply compliance-first design principles to support SOX, audit readiness, and enforce data governance standards.
- Maintain Data Integrity – Implement validation, monitoring, and reconciliation frameworks.
- Drive Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Leverage AI & Next-Generation Analytics – Harness cutting-edge AI technologies (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Python ML libraries, Copilot) to reimagine financial data modeling.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience; 5+ years (7+ preferred) in data analytics or analytics engineering; strong SQL and cloud data fundamentals with hands-on experience in Snowflake, dbt, and BI tools (Mode, Looker, Tableau, etc.); experience building and supporting complex data pipelines; familiarity with financial data structures, accounting processes, and enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Adaptive); strong communication skills.
Preferred: Public company experience with SOX compliance; background in high-growth technology environments; experience implementing large-scale financial or operational systems; project management experience; cloud cost management in AWS; familiarity with AI/ML applications in data analytics.
Compensation & Benefits
For Canadian based candidates, the base pay range is CAN$126,000—$133,000 CAD. This role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits.
