Senior Data Analyst, People

We're hiring a Senior Data Analyst to support our People organization, using data to help Fivetran attract, develop, engage, and retain exceptional talent as we scale. You'll work across the employee lifecycle—from recruiting and workforce planning to employee experience, learning and development, performance, and retention—turning complex people data into insights. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role partnering with leaders across People, Recruiting, Finance, and the broader business.

• Define and own core People metrics, including headcount, hiring, retention, organizational health, employee experience, and talent development.
• Build scalable analytical products: canonical datasets, models, self-service tools, and dashboards.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner, translating analyses into clear narratives for audiences from operators to senior executives.
• Work with Engineers to improve Fivetran's HRIS and ATS connectors.
• Set a high bar for responsible People Analytics, including data quality, integrity, governance, privacy, and appropriate access.
• Turn people data into decisions by analyzing complex datasets to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Shape analytics culture by mentoring analysts and establishing best practices.

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or related analytical role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling with large, complex datasets.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or similar BI tools.
• Strong analytical judgment and ability to translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high bar for data quality and rigor.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and owning problems end-to-end.
• Strong cross-functional instincts and relationship-building.
• A builder mindset: create frameworks, datasets, and tools for faster decisions.
• Passion for using data to improve how organizations attract, develop, and support people.
• Experience supporting key business decisions, preferably at a high-growth, SaaS, or B2B product company.

• Experience in People Analytics, workforce analytics, recruiting analytics, HR strategy, or related function.
• Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, performance management, engagement, or learning systems.

Oakland Pay Range: $156,082—$195,102.50 USD.
