Senior Design Engineer

Cloudflare's Emerging Technology and Incubation (ETI) group builds new and bold products. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of Design Engineers and Systems Engineers to design and develop frontend experiences that improve the developer experience throughout the dashboard. You will own your code from inception to release, with attention to both coding patterns and visual aesthetics. Daily work may include collaborating in Figma, developing new components and user interactions, polishing existing pages, or improving developer experience.

• Design and develop frontend experiences for the Cloudflare dashboard.
• Own code from inception to release.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers and Systems Engineers.
• Work in Figma on designs and inspiration.
• Develop new components and user interactions.
• Polish existing pages and improve developer experience.

• 5+ years of experience working with distributed systems.
• Experience designing and building frontend applications.
• Solid understanding of cloud primitives and how they work together to build distributed systems.
• Knowledge of at least one modern strongly-typed programming language; primarily TypeScript.
• Experience debugging, optimizing, and identifying failure modes in large-scale frontend applications.

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For Bay Area based hires: estimated annual salary of $194,000 - $266,000. For New York City, New Jersey, Washington, Washington DC, and California (excluding Bay Area) based hires: estimated annual salary of $185,000 - $254,000.
