Senior Developer Advocate, AI

LaunchDarkly is looking for a Senior Developer Advocate based in the San Francisco Bay Area to own the company's presence in the local AI developer community. This role involves attending events several times a week, building relationships with practitioners, bringing signal back to LaunchDarkly, and demonstrating the platform through small, credible demos.

• Attend Bay Area developer events (meetups, demo nights, hackathons, conferences) several times a week.
• Build long-term relationships with AI and platform engineers.
• Bring structured signal back on what practitioners are building and how they talk about agents, releases, and runtime control.
• Build and show demos on AgentControl and the LaunchDarkly platform.
• Write event recaps and practitioner-grade content.
• Organize gatherings around real developer problems over time.
• Route relationships, signal, and opportunities to relevant owners.

• Experience in developer advocacy, community, solutions engineering, customer success, or another customer-facing technical role.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with ability to attend events in person several times a week, including evenings.
• Technically credible: can build and demo real things and hold deep technical conversations.
• Active in or drawn to the AI developer scene.
• Strong written voice for recaps and content.
• Bonus: existing network in Bay Area developer community, experience organizing meetups, familiarity with feature management, experimentation, observability, or agent frameworks.

Target pay range for Level 4 in Zone 1 (San Francisco/Bay Area): $152,000 - $210,000. Additional benefits include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits.
