Senior Manager, Technical Program Management (Search & AI Foundations)

Role: Senior Manager, Technical Program Management (TPM) for the Infrastructure team, leading AI Platforms initiatives spanning Search Relevance, Machine Learning Infrastructure (MLI), and Search Knowledge Infrastructure (SKI). This role partners with engineering and product teams to build data-driven decision making, collaborating with ML engineers, infrastructure engineers, and product managers.

• Shape and influence technical direction of projects, ensuring stakeholder needs and high-quality standards.
• Rapidly prototype and validate project ideas through iterative development cycles.
• Define and secure stakeholder alignment on clear, measurable success criteria for AI initiatives.
• Assess risks and opportunities, devise mitigation strategies.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders and present updates to senior leadership.

• 13+ years in technical program management, with at least 8 years managing a team of TPMs.
• Demonstrated experience in search relevance, natural language search, and recommendation systems.
• Experience with applying GenAI/LLM technologies on search is a plus.
• Experience with ML models, LLMs, LRMs, feature development, model testing, and resource management.
• Familiar with A/B testing, incremental delivery and deployment.
• Excellent written and oral communication and people skills.

Compensation: Base pay range $232,000—$282,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Location: US - Remote Eligible. Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity; some states are excluded. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsites may be required.
