Senior Product Designer - Growth

Render is building a modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. The platform offers persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, trusted by over 7 million developers. In February 2026, Render raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing total funding to $260M.

This role sits at the heart of Render's evolution from a solo-developer platform to the backbone for fast-scaling teams. You will design the journey from first touch to paying customer as one connected system, spanning onboarding, activation, billing, payments, and pricing. You will work across product, billing, and other groups, shipping fast and holding a high craft bar under velocity.

• Design the journey from first touch to paying customer as one connected system, including onboarding, activation, upgrade, and billing.
• Own billing, payments, and pricing as craft surfaces, including plans, usage, invoices, upgrade/downgrade flows, payment methods, dunning, and the pricing page.
• Design a first-run and activation experience worth recommending, from signup to first successful deploy and beyond.
• Run on validation and experimentation together, using user testing, interviews, and A/B tests to move activation, conversion, and retention.
• Move fast across a wide surface, prioritizing ruthlessly and shipping in small confident increments.
• Partner across the company, communicating clearly with product, engineering, data, marketing, and finance stakeholders.
• Contribute to where Growth goes next through design-led discovery and weekly critique cadence.

• 5+ years of relevant experience, including real work designing for developers or technical users.
• Exceptional taste and craft at speed, with an eye for detail and ability to ship fast without over-polishing.
• Fluency in both validation and experimentation, comfortable running user testing and interviews and designing/reading experiments.
• Rigor with complex, high-stakes flows, especially billing, payments, and pricing edge cases.
• Strong information architecture, able to make complex plans, usage, and states feel obvious.
• Fluent in how developers think and get billed, with bonus for understanding usage-based, resource-metered billing for developer tools.
• Strong product judgment under fast launch velocity.
• Clear, direct communication and collaborative working style.

• Experience designing billing, payments, subscriptions, checkout, or pricing surfaces.
• A track record of growth wins in activation, conversion, or retention.
• Comfort with experimentation tooling and reading data yourself.
• Design-engineering literacy, including comfort near code, motion, or prototyping.
• Writing, talks, or side projects demonstrating craft and point of view.

Salary range: $195K – $268K USD, plus equity.
