Senior Product Manager - Observability Data Platform

Datadog is the leading observability and security platform for the AI era, providing unified visibility across the technology stack. The Observability Data Platform (ODP) is the backbone of Datadog, powering data ingestion, storage, routing, and surfacing at planet scale.

As a Senior Product Manager for ODP, you will define product direction across the control plane and data layer, translate complex infrastructure trade-offs into clear roadmap decisions, and help customers maximize their observability investment.

• Develop deep understanding of ODP customers (platform engineers, SREs, PMs) and their infrastructure challenges.
• Define product direction across multiple ODP surfaces, including control plane and data layer.
• Lead conversations with design partners and strategic customers to validate assumptions and guide solutions from prototype to GA.
• Develop command of unit economics and bring cost-profile understanding into pricing and packaging conversations.
• Anticipate market trends in AI-native infrastructure and translate them into actionable product direction.
• Drive cross-functional discussions with clear problem statements for seamless cross-product experiences.
• Support customer engagements and track adoption, iterating based on data and feedback.

• 5+ years of Product Manager experience, ideally on developer-focused SaaS, infrastructure, or data products.
• Strong cross-org navigator with ability to surface decisions and keep work moving.
• Command of distributed data infrastructure concepts and ability to engage credibly on technical trade-offs.
• Comfortable distilling complex architecture and priorities for engineers, leadership, and customers.
• Collaborative and opinionated, building trust quickly.
• Thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
• Customer-focused, detail-oriented, committed to quality.
• Bonus: Experience with observability platforms, cloud-native infrastructure, multi-cloud/hybrid deployment, data pipeline architecture, or pricing/packaging for platform products.

The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role is $192,000—$240,000 USD.
