Airbnb is a global travel community platform, connecting hosts and guests. The Community Support Engineering (CS Eng) team builds technology for Airbnb's support operations. The Agent Core Products team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive initiatives that empower support agents.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to execute product and business strategy.
- Drive the full development cycle: technical design, development, test automation, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Build efficient and reusable frontend web components with high quality and performance.
- Design and implement server-side APIs to support frontend requirements.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning and Generative AI Engineers to improve Community Support systems.
- Provide technical direction through engineering design discussions.
Qualifications
- 6+ years industry experience.
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in CS or equivalent.
- Experience architecting frontend systems and owning end-to-end features.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern libraries (React, GraphQL).
- Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
- Demonstrated excellence in accessibility and performance optimization.
- Experience building UI for AI-driven features (classical ML and Generative AI).
- Proficiency in one or more back-end languages (Java/Kotlin).
- Mentorship to junior developers.
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay range: $195,000—$220,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Location
This position is US - Remote Eligible. Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Excluded states apply.
