Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (App Experience)

The Marketplace and App Experience domain is the main pillar of our core consumer strategy, driving the user journey across all frontend surfaces, including Mobile and Web. This role will be at the forefront of front-end facing cross-team projects, working closely with other teams and engineers across mobile and web technologies.

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery.
• Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics.
• Support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting on-call efforts.
• Contribute to community on your team by engaging in growth and development activities such as participation in the interview process.

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python.
• Ability to take a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, writing clear, easily understood, well-tested, and extensible code.
• Comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $195,000 - $255,000. USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $173,000 - $233,000. Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental, and vision for you and your dependents.

Remote-first with flexibility built in. Most roles can be done from almost anywhere within the country of employment. Some positions may occasionally require in-person work at an Affirm office, and a few are office-based. All new hires will be invited to attend an in-person onboarding experience.
