Senior Software Engineer

Quicksilver is Cloudflare's globally distributed key-value store, replicating data over tens of thousands of servers and 500+ data centers, serving billions of keys per second. In this role, you will own and support the whole stack: code base, unit and integration tests, deployment and rollback plans, operations, monitoring, alerting, debugging, and on-call. Quicksilver is written in Go and C. You will write new features in Go, review pull requests, improve performance (CPU, memory usage), improve monitoring and tools, and help debug hard-to-reproduce problems.

Experience with robust systems, code quality, performance, technical debt, storage systems, peer-to-peer systems, large-scale distributed systems, or system programming. You should be flexible, autonomous, pragmatic, and enjoy low-level and high-level programming. This role may require on-call outside standard working hours.

Compensation varies by location: Colorado $168,000-$231,000; New York City $185,000-$254,000; Washington $185,000-$254,000; Washington DC $185,000-$254,000. Equity is available.
