Senior Systems Engineer

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support Oracle EPM Planning systems and processes, with a focus on bringing AI automation and AI agent capabilities into Finance workflows. This role is within the BizTech BI&Analytics team, partnering with business and finance stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics and AI transformation programs.

• Support design, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle EPM Planning modules (Financials, Workforce, Capital, Cash Forecast, Long Range Planning).
• Develop and maintain business rules and calc scripts, with proficiency in Groovy Scripting for data and forecast modeling.
• Support data flows with AWS data warehouse, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Workday, leveraging Data Management, EPM Automate, and internal integration tools.
• Assist with monthly Oracle patch cycle, including regression testing and impact analysis.
• Partner with FP&A to streamline budget and forecasting processes by automating manual offline models and enhancing data integration.
• Build and maintain reports using EPM Reports; support finance users in Smart View with ad-hoc analysis and template creation.
• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows to streamline FP&A processes.
• Identify manual, repetitive finance and systems processes and apply AI automation to reduce cycle time.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Hyperion/EPM (minimum 2 years in EPM Cloud).
• Experience with EPM Automate, Groovy scripting, building forms, reports, application optimization, and administering user access.
• 3+ years of experience supporting finance functions (FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax) with solid financial statement literacy.
• Hands-on experience building AI automation and AI agents (e.g., agentic workflows, LLM-based automation using tooling such as Claude, Gemini, GPT).
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation, pipeline troubleshooting, and ad-hoc analysis against warehouse tables.
• Experience supporting integrations between Oracle EPM and ERP via OIC or equivalent middleware.
• Experience operating data orchestration and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Base pay range: $164,000—$193,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager. You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
