What you’ll do
Develop global architecture for high availability and disaster recovery, including latency-critical and data redundancy solutions, automated disaster detection and failovers, and multi-region architecture best practices. Write and deploy code using Ruby, Java, Mongo, Postgres, and other tools. Investigate issues in live distributed production systems and uphold high engineering standards through design and code review.
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of progressive software development experience, or Master’s degree plus 3 years. Must have 3 years of experience in each: Go, Ruby, or Java; database internals (data movement, leader election, quorums); cloud infrastructure (S3, EBS, EC2, VPCs); designing Temporal workflows; using Trino SQL; and designing fault-tolerant systems with data sharding and replication.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $206,086 - $285,600/yr. Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
Additional Details
40 hrs/week. 50% Telecommuting permitted. Multiple positions available.
