About the job

Twilio is a remote-first company shaping the future of communications. This role is on the Stytch team at Twilio, building and scaling Stytch's core identity product for Twilio's customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Build backend product capabilities for Stytch's identity platform, shipping new API surfaces and core authentication flows, including agentic and non-human identity use cases.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction and deliver high-impact roadmap features.
  • Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams on architecture and integration.
  • Operate with deep technical ownership: author design docs, drive technical decisions, review code.
  • Build in ambiguity, break down complex problems, and design developer experiences.
  • Improve production quality and resilience through observability, incident response, and remediation.
  • Mentor and support other engineers.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience designing, building, and operating high-scale, mission-critical cloud-based production systems.
  • Familiarity with a production-grade codebase in a modern programming language.
  • Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related industry experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours.
  • Desired: Familiarity with Go, TypeScript, and DynamoDB; experience building developer tools or SDKs; experience building and owning products consumed by paying customers.

Compensation

Estimated pay ranges: $116,960 - $171,900 depending on location. Eligible for equity and corporate bonus plan.
