Software Engineer II, Fullstack (Ads Platform)

Affirm is a financial technology company that provides transparent, pay-over-time solutions. The company leverages machine learning and rich consumer and merchant data to deliver personalized shopping experiences and is advancing its Ads Platform to help merchant partners deploy budgets and reach targeted consumers.

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on product development decisions.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and participating in on-call efforts.
• Contribute to community through growth activities like participating in the interview process.

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
• Comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing code reviews.
• Strong communication skills for global collaboration.
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Base pay range: CAD $133,000 - $183,000 per year. Total compensation may include monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
