About the job

About the Role

As a Sr. Solutions Architect on the Financial Services team, you will lead the growth of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. You will work with customers, teammates, product teams, and partners to identify use cases, develop architectures, and guide implementations. You will build relationships, cultivate champions, and act as a trusted advisor.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks solves business problems.
  • Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
  • Consult on big data architecture, execute proof of concepts, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
  • Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demonstrate applications.
  • Promote open source projects (Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog) through meetups, conferences, and webinars.
  • Travel to meet with customers in your territory.

What We Look For

  • 10+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role, preferably with big-data technologies.
  • Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
  • Comfortable programming in at least one of: Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
  • Experience with global system integrators, consulting organizations, or financial services technology/data providers is a positive differentiator.
  • Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with data engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and data warehousing technologies (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in engineering or mathematics discipline.

Compensation & Benefits

Local Pay Range: $219,100—$301,300 USD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits. Databricks offers comprehensive benefits and perks; details vary by region.
