Sr. Data Scientist, Infrastructure

Pinterest is a platform where millions of people find creative ideas and plan for memories. The Infrastructure Data Science team is looking for a Data Scientist to partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to make Pinterest's infrastructure more measurable, intelligible, and actionable.

• Partner with engineering teams to define, measure, and improve the health, quality, and efficiency of infrastructure systems.
• Build and refine metrics, dashboards, and analytical frameworks.
• Strengthen data foundations by improving metric definitions, auditing data quality, and contributing to pipeline improvements.
• Design and analyze experiments to quantify the impact of infrastructure changes.
• Translate ambiguous technical problems into clear analyses and recommendations.

• 4+ years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying scientific methods to large-scale data.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong SQL and analytical programming skills.
• Experience with production-ready data pipelines and measurement systems.
• Solid foundation in experimentation and measurement.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Compensation and benefits: Base salary range $139,764—$287,749 USD, eligible for equity.
