Staff Backend Engineer - Grafana Alerting

The Grafana Alerting squad operates at the core of the Grafana open-source project. The backend-focused team works closely with customers and Grafana Cloud teams to make Alerting work on-prem and at infinite scale in Cloud. The team's scope spans Grafana Alerting and the SLOs product. Recent projects include building distributed systems to scale alert ingestion and delivery of Prometheus-based alerts, unifying Alerting setup and delivery for Grafana and Prometheus-based alerts, and scaling alert evaluation to over 500 evaluations per second in production.

• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning reliability, performance, and availability.
• Participate in on-call rotations.

• Learn new skills by understanding the cloud product and large distributed system codebase.

• Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go preferred; Python, Java, C++, Rust or similar translate well).

• Ability to write clean, robust, performant, maintainable software.

In Spain, the compensation range for this role is EUR 94,025 - EUR 112,830. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
