- Effectively manage and allocate resources (teams, tools, budget), ensuring that all project phases are adequately staffed and equipped.
- Identify potential project risks, create mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure that all data center deployments meet technical and quality standards, including compliance with industry best practices and local regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and give regular progress reports.
- Provide technical guidance to teams on best practices for data center design and deployment, including considerations for power, cooling, networking, and physical security.
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Travel to up to 60% of data center locations to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth project execution.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in data center deployment, infrastructure project implementation, or technical project management within a data center environment.
- Proven ability to successfully manage complex technical projects from initiation to completion.
- In-depth technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional ability to analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose innovative solutions.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE), data center compliance requirements, security protocols, and risk management practices.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% to data center locations, sometimes on short notice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, CDCP, CDCS, or similar) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) or AI-specific infrastructure.
