MongoDB is a next-generation database company offering a unified data platform, including MongoDB Atlas, a multi-cloud data platform available on AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

As an Associate Technical Services Engineer II, you will advise customers and solve complex MongoDB problems across the entire ecosystem—database server, drivers, cloud, and infrastructure. You will work alongside our largest customers, resolving questions on architecture, performance, recovery, and security, and contribute to internal projects including software development of support tools.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical experience in systems administration, distributed systems, network administration, database architecture and administration, application architecture, data architecture and design, and performance tuning.
  • Bonus: experience in Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl.
  • Operations background with large-scale production environments, including Linux, Windows, networks, and cloud resources (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range for U.S.-based candidates: $76,000—$149,000 USD. Benefits may include equity, 401(k) plan, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, mental health counseling, and health insurance.
