About the Role: Tailscale is looking for an experienced Brand Designer to bring the brand to life across customer touchpoints. This role reports to the Team Lead and partners with Brand, Growth, Web, Content, Product Marketing, and Developer Relations. You'll own projects from concept to execution, contribute to design systems, and scale creative output.
Key Responsibilities
- Own brand design projects from brief to delivery
- Design assets for web, campaigns, events, social media, presentations, product marketing, and internal communications
- Apply and extend Tailscale's visual identity
- Create reusable templates and design systems
- Partner with cross-functional teams
- Present concepts and incorporate feedback
- Balance multiple projects and deliver polished work
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in brand, marketing, or visual design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design foundations: color theory, accessibility, typography, layout, storytelling
- Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with digital marketing, websites, campaigns, and brand systems
- Understanding of production-ready design across digital and print
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight
- Collaborative and autonomous
Nice to Have: Experience with B2B SaaS or developer products, design systems, motion design, illustration, HTML/CSS, experimentation, and mentoring.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is $163,480—$205,020 CAD. Tailscale offers a competitive total compensation package including base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
