About the Role
Airbnb is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Homes team in Berlin, Germany. This is a new-business role focused on winning professional supply for Airbnb across EMEA. You will be one of the first people shaping the approach to acquiring professional hosts, reporting into the Homes EMEA team under the Field Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and onboard new, high-quality professional hosts in your assigned territory, building and managing a strong pipeline.
- Create and deploy scaled strategies to acquire Professional Hosts in your region.
- Represent Airbnb in external meetings with Professional Hosts as a credible market expert.
- Analyze data and use data-driven recommendations to identify strategic opportunities for sales growth.
- Develop deep knowledge of assigned geographic markets across DACH.
- Build and manage partner relationships within your territory.
- Maintain a baseline understanding of technical integrations of software partners to support clients.
- Educate clients on product changes and cascade feedback to internal stakeholders.
- Respond to professional hosts and deliver exceptional service.
- Work cross-functionally with product, communications, public policy, and customer support teams.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in sales.
- 2+ years of hospitality/travel industry experience (nice to have).
- Strong B2B sales/new business development experience.
- Ability to work at strategic and tactical levels in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience building and strengthening relationships with external partners.
- Comfortable performing data analysis and making decisions based on results.
- Available to travel to assigned markets.
- Highly proficient in CRM software; Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Fluency in German and English.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual pay range for Germany: €71,000—€84,000 EUR. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
