We are seeking an experienced Compliance, Employment & Litigation Counsel to join our Legal team. This role will focus on global compliance, employment counseling, and employment-related legal support across the US and potentially internationally, as well as assisting with dispute and litigation matters. You will partner with the People Team and business partners to provide practical employment advice, and work with the Legal team to manage business disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compliance policies related to ethics, export control, sanctions, anti-corruption, and conflicts of interest.
  • Conduct internal investigations and oversee compliance hotline monitoring.
  • Advise on employment law matters across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, accommodations, leaves, investigations, and terminations.
  • Support organizational changes, restructurings, and reductions in force.
  • Manage employment-related claims, administrative charges, arbitrations, and litigation.
  • Support disputes involving commercial contracts, vendors, IP, privacy, and bankruptcy.
  • Manage outside counsel and legal budgets.
  • Collaborate across functions and contribute to special projects.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law.
  • 4-7 years of experience, including significant compliance, employment, and/or litigation experience.
  • Strong judgment and ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: prior in-house experience, experience with high-growth tech/SaaS, international employment matters, commercial disputes, and e-discovery.

Compensation

New York Pay Range: $186,895—$224,283 USD.
