Role
The Customer Advocate, Core Products, Office of the CPO serves as the voice of MongoDB's most important customers at the executive level, acting as a trusted advisor to the Chief Product Officer and driving cross-functional alignment to embed customer feedback into product strategy.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary strategic liaison between core product organization and key customers.
- Develop and execute customer advocacy strategy with CPO.
- Build relationships with executive stakeholders at strategic accounts.
- Drive structured customer engagement process.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to surface feedback.
- Lead executive customer meetings and represent product commitments.
- Establish technical fluency in MongoDB's core products.
- Define and track success measures for CPO's customer engagement.
- Contribute to scaling best practices.
- Leverage AI tools and data-driven insights to identify trends.
Requirements
- 10+ years of work experience, or 8+ years in SaaS product management, consulting, enterprise sales strategy, or customer success leadership.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Sharp business judgment and execution skills.
- Demonstrated success influencing product direction through customer advocacy.
- Executive presence and exceptional communication.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment.
- Deep problem-solver mindset.
- Experience working with product organization and technical fluency.
- Learning agility.
- Experience leveraging AI tools and analytical platforms (Tableau, Salesforce).
- High energy and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Compensation
Base salary range: $129,000—$253,000 USD.
