Role
As a Delivery Solutions Architect (DSA) at Databricks, you will collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to accelerate adoption and growth of the Databricks platform. You will be the post-sale technical lead across all Databricks products, driving customer success and maximizing return on investment. This is a hybrid technical and commercial role, reporting to a DSA Manager within the Field Engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Solutions Architects to understand use case demand plans for prioritized customers.
- Lead post-technical win technical account strategy and execution for Databricks use cases in strategic accounts.
- Be the accountable technical leader for specific use cases, driving onboarding, enablement, success, go-live, and healthy consumption.
- Serve as first contact for technical issues related to production/go-live status.
- Leverage Shared Services, User Education, and Support resources; escalate to expert-level technical experts as needed.
- Create and execute point-of-view for accelerating key use cases into production, coordinating with Professional Services.
- Navigate Databricks Product and Engineering teams for innovations and private previews.
- Develop execution plans covering all customer-facing technical roles, including use case progression, enablement, adoption, and governance.
- Provide internal and external KPI reporting on usage, customer health, and investment status.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience accountable for technical project/program delivery in Data and AI.
- Programming experience in Python, SQL, or Scala.
- Experience in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting.
- Understanding of solution architecture for distributed data systems.
- Ability to attribute business value to project deliverables.
- Technical program/project management with account, stakeholder, and resource management accountability.
- Experience resolving escalations with senior customer executives.
- Experience conducting discovery workshops, creating strategic roadmaps, and managing complex programs.
- Track record of overachievement against quota or similar targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel up to 30% when needed.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $180,000—$247,500 USD (all zones). Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits. Databricks offers comprehensive benefits; details available in the job posting.
