Developer Relations

As Developer Relations at Anthropic, you will help developers discover, onboard, and get the most out of Claude Code, Claude Tag, and future developer products. This role is pivotal in helping developers adopt Claude-powered products, growing our developer ecosystem, gathering crucial feedback to inform product development, and ensuring our products are used responsibly, safely, and securely. You'll be a hands-on technical voice for Anthropic's developer community, including partners, customers, and independent developers.

• Drive technical strategy and impact: shape how developers discover and engage with Anthropic's developer products, build frameworks for measuring developer success, prioritize community and content initiatives, and partner with product and engineering.
• Set the bar for Developer Relations: define what world-class AI developer relations looks like, model excellence in technical content and developer engagement, and evolve best practices.
• Drive scaled developer adoption and success: understand diverse developer needs, partner with GTM/Sales/Marketing, lead events and workshops, and generate high-quality technical content.
• Drive alignment through cross-functional collaboration: advocate for developer needs, collaborate with Research, partner with Communications and Marketing, and promote responsible AI use.

• 5+ years of experience in developer relations, developer experience, or technical product/engineering roles, with a track record of shipping content or tools that measurably grew a developer ecosystem.
• Technically credible: deeply understand AI/ML and API concepts and translate complex technical ideas for various audiences.
• Hands-on technical ability: write production-quality code demos, critically review developer samples, and give specific technical feedback.
• Insight into developer psychology and behavior: know how to reach developers through the right channels and design content that drives adoption.
• Passionate about AI's potential and committed to responsible development.
• Collaborative contributor who can influence across teams without direct authority.
• Thrived in high-growth environments and can adapt quickly.

• Experience working specifically with large language models or generative AI.
• Background in AI safety, ethics, or responsible AI development.
• Public speaking experience at industry conferences and events.
• Content creation experience (technical writing, video tutorials, etc.).

Annual Salary: $290,000—$435,000 USD

San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY. Hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.
