Events Manager | EMEA | Remote

Grafana Labs, the company behind the open observability cloud, is a 100% remote company with 1,600+ team members across 40+ countries. We are seeking an EMEA Events Manager to independently own and deliver regional events across EMEA and eventually APJ, including our ObservabilityCON on the Road conferences and third-party sponsorship portfolio.

• Independently manage and execute a portfolio of in-person events, including owned regional user conferences and third-party sponsorships.
• Lead end-to-end event logistics: venue sourcing, negotiating, contracting, vendor coordination, booth design, and on-site execution.
• Own event project management, maintaining timelines, budgets, contracts, and vendor communications.
• Define and track event success metrics; deliver post-event analysis and actionable improvements.
• Create, review, and approve event assets (signage, collateral, presentations, registration experiences).
• Leverage AI and automation tools to improve planning efficiency and reporting.
• Identify risks early and resolve issues proactively, leading real-time problem-solving.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and regional teams.
• Provide guidance to junior team members, contractors, and agency partners.

• Located in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, or Germany.
• 4+ years of direct event management experience, including hosted conferences owned end-to-end and third-party sponsorships run independently.
• Demonstrated ownership of the full event lifecycle: venue sourcing, contracting, budget ownership, vendor management, registration build, on-site delivery, post-event analysis.
• Experience as primary on-site lead for in-person events, making real-time decisions without escalation.
• Willingness to travel by plane approximately 40%, including long-haul to APJ and occasional work across APJ/AMER time zones.
• Curiosity and adaptability in adopting new marketing technologies, including AI-driven tools such as Claude Code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent events with competing deadlines.
• Proficiency in Zuddl or similar registration platforms and familiarity with Salesforce and Monday.com preferred.

In the Netherlands, the OTE (On-Target Earnings) compensation range is EUR 83,000 - EUR 100,000. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Grafana Labs offers a 100% remote global culture, 30 days annual leave, and in-person onboarding.
