About the job

About the Team

OpenAI's Events and Experiences team, part of Business Marketing, brings people together around OpenAI's mission of building artificial general intelligence that benefits all of humanity. The team moves with speed, rigor, and precision, using AI tools to rethink everything from planning to guest experience.

About the Role

We're looking for an Experiential Producer to put OpenAI's latest technology in people's hands. You'll produce experiences where people discover something they didn't know they could do with our products, from intimate demos to global launches, cultural programs, large-scale events, booths, and brand installations. Working closely with Product, Marketing, and creative partners, you'll take concepts through design development, fabrication, and on-site delivery.

In this role, you will

  • Produce experiences that introduce people to OpenAI's newest products, from global launches and hands-on demos to custom installations.
  • Work with Product, Marketing, and creative teams to turn ambitious concepts into production briefs and build plans.
  • Bring together agencies, fabricators, technical specialists, and venues to solve builds that don't have an off-the-shelf answer.
  • Independently run several projects at once, setting milestones and owning scopes, bids, negotiations, contracts, procurement, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Lead booth builds, technical production, and live delivery, from product integrations and AV to show calls.
  • Protect quality, accessibility, safety, privacy, and brand standards.
  • Experiment with OpenAI tools throughout production, from research and planning to vendor briefs, project updates, and post-event analysis.
  • Set success measures and use audience response, product engagement, business results, and partner feedback to improve future experiences.

You might thrive in this role if you have

  • 8+ years producing experiential programs, brand activations, launches, installations, exhibitions, or live events, ideally for technology or complex products.
  • Deep experience producing booths and custom builds, with a portfolio showing sound design judgment, practical problem-solving, and careful execution.
  • Experience working with Product, Engineering, or technical teams, and genuine curiosity about how OpenAI's products work.
  • The initiative to own projects independently: set milestones, make decisions, and tackle unfamiliar problems without waiting to be asked.
  • A diverse network of trusted agencies and vendors, strong negotiation skills, and good judgment about when to use a full-service agency or a specialist.
  • Experience adapting production for different audiences, cultures, event scales, and markets while keeping global standards consistent.
  • Exceptional organization across multiple projects, substantial budgets, and tight deadlines, with the flexibility to reprioritize when plans change.
