About the Role
Databricks is seeking a Global Senior Workplace Manager, Food and Beverage to lead the strategy, design, and execution of food and beverage programs across its global portfolio. This role is part of the Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS) team and reports to the AMER Workplace Services leader with dotted lines to EMEA and APJ Workplace leaders. The position is full-time and in-office based in San Francisco, CA, with travel to critical hub locations required.
Responsibilities
- Define global F&B strategy for all touchpoints including cafes, micro-kitchens, barista/boba bars, event catering, pop-up vendors, and executive dining.
- Lead selection, contract negotiations, and performance management of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) partners and corporate dining vendors (e.g., Compass Group, Guckenheimer, Aramark, Bon Appétit).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Internal Communications, People/HR, Executive Assistants, Corporate Marketing, IT/AV, Security, events and experience teams, and local workplace leaders.
- Oversee global F&B budget, cost-per-head controls, invoice auditing, financial forecasting, and key metrics.
- Enforce global food safety compliance, local permitting, and corporate sustainability goals (e.g., zero food waste, sustainable sourcing, compostable packaging).
- Monitor office utilization trends and badge-swipe data to align meal production with attendance.
- Collaborate with Real Estate & Design/Build teams on kitchen and servery layouts for new office build-outs.
- Develop standardized global playbooks, SLAs, and operational guidelines.
- Utilize F&B management platforms, collaboration tools (Asana, Slack, Zoom), and AI for efficiency and data analysis.
- Mentor and coach workplace specialists and outsourced team members.
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of senior hospitality management experience leading large-scale corporate dining programs for enterprise tech companies or high-volume multi-site hospitality environments.
- Expertise in managing large P&Ls and complex vendor contracts across regions and regulatory environments.
- Strong background in planning commercial food and beverage environments within offices.
- Deep knowledge of food safety, culinary trends, dietary diversity (vegan, kosher, halal, allergen-conscious), and corporate sustainability practices.
- Demonstrated capacity to independently manage complex logistical operations with concurrent execution timelines.
- Experience managing high-volume food service operations with daily executive visibility.
- Great communication skills and ability to draft robust communications plans.
- Proven organizational skills, managing multiple work streams and projects.
- Customer-focused attitude ensuring consistently high quality resolutions.
- Experience with procurement, contract management and review, and vendor management.
- Experience with Google Suite; experience with Fresh Service and Asana programs preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range (Zone 1): $205,800—$282,900 USD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits. Databricks offers comprehensive benefits and perks; specific details vary by region.
