Role Overview: The Growth Partnerships Manager will own a portfolio of key partners end-to-end, from in-market performance to executive-level relationship management and renewals. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy and operational execution, with direct line of sight to customer acquisition growth and Instacart+ distribution.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-performing partnership portfolio with measurable results, ensuring each partnership delivers against agreed objectives.
- Lead complex negotiations with Fortune 500 partners, develop deal models with Finance and Legal, and close terms that reflect both parties' interests.
- Drive cross-functional execution across Legal, Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance, proactively surfacing issues and ensuring transparency.
- Build trusted senior relationships across partner organizations and represent Instacart externally at QBRs and industry conferences.
- Develop a multi-year strategic roadmap for partnerships, identifying new opportunities and shaping long-term vision.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in partnerships, business development, or strategic account management with a track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to structure and negotiate commercial agreements, including developing deal models with Finance and Legal.
- Exceptional relationship management skills, building trust at multiple levels and navigating difficult conversations.
- Strong cross-functional operator, driving alignment across Legal, Product, Marketing, and Finance.
- Comfort managing operational complexity across a large, active partnership portfolio.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, media, travel, entertainment, or loyalty, with understanding of subscription/membership-based businesses.
- Experience managing co-marketing investments, incentive funding, or customer acquisition spend.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Compensation & Benefits: Base pay range for Canadian candidates is CAN$158,000—$166,500 CAD. Eligible for new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants. Instacart provides market-competitive compensation and benefits.
Location: Remote in Canada (Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia only).
