Information Security Engineer

Algolia is a pioneer and market leader in AI Search, empowering 18,000+ businesses to deliver fast, predictive search and browse experiences. The Information Security team ensures trust, privacy, and resilience are embedded throughout infrastructure, products, and processes.

• Design and automate controls, detection mechanisms, and tooling to improve security of infrastructure and products.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new security technologies and frameworks.
• Design, implement, and maintain security monitoring and remediation systems.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate security into new features and pipelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and threat models of core systems and third-party vendors.
• Participate in and sometimes lead incident response activities.
• Support compliance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO 27001, C5, GDPR).
• Manage public bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure programs.

• 3–6 years of experience in Information Security engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation with Python, Bash, Go, or similar.
• Experience with Kubernetes preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and datacenter operations.
• Experience with log management/SIEM, threat detection, endpoint detection and response, SAST, SOAR, CTI, with preference for Crowdstrike or Obsidian.
• Knowledge of internet security threats and mitigation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

• Experience scaling security programs in high-growth SaaS.
• Cloud-specific security certifications.
• Experience with Hashicorp Vault.
• Contributions to security communities.

Base salary range: £66,080—£91,800 GBP.
