IT Support Engineer

Anthropic is an AI safety company building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The IT Operations team keeps the company running by ensuring every employee can work without friction. This role combines deep technical skills with a service mindset, supporting a primarily macOS environment while contributing to operational improvements at scale.

• Triage and resolve issues across hardware, software, networking, and accounts via ticketing system, Slack, and in-person support.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, and core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Atlassian).
• Troubleshoot device enrollment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement.
• Support access management and employee lifecycle workflows (onboarding, offboarding, reorgs).
• Handle escalations requiring cross-team coordination and participate in on-call rotation.
• Provide hands-on support for user technology, AV systems, conference rooms, and printers.
• Write and maintain internal documentation, identify patterns, and surface automation opportunities.
• Contribute to automation efforts, including scripting with Bash or Python.

• 7+ years of hands-on IT support experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
• Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated support of macOS endpoints; comfortable with ChromeOS, iOS, and Android.
• Significant experience with Google Workspace administration and Slack administration.
• Substantial experience supporting and administering additional SaaS tools.
• Understanding of identity and access fundamentals (SSO, MFA, directory services).
• Familiarity with MDM fundamentals and endpoint management concepts.
• Experience with basic scripting (Bash or Python) for automation.
• Strong candidates may have zero-trust security knowledge, networking basics (DNS, DHCP, VPN), IT project experience, or AI tool usage.

Annual salary: $180,000—$230,000 USD. Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, including generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and optional equity donation matching.
