Principal Partner Solutions Architect

Cockroach Labs builds database technology trusted for mission-critical applications. As AI transforms software, Cockroach Continuum brings databases into a fleet for agentic applications. The Global Partnerships org launched the ISV Technology Partner Program, integrations with LangChain, Anthropic Claude Code, Confluent, and Datadog, an IBM OEM relationship, and the CockroachDB Integrations Hub. The AWS Strategic Collaboration Agreement is evolving into an AI ISV acquisition engine.

As Principal Solutions Architect for the Americas partner team, you will be the technical authority across Cloud, ISV, OEM, and GSI partner motions in the Americas. You will own your domain end-to-end: identifying integration opportunities, building and certifying assets, shaping GTM narratives, enabling partners, and driving pipeline influence.

• Formulate and execute technical partner strategy and GTM plans with Business Development counterparts.
• Develop and deliver content: executive GTM presentations, white papers, technical blogs, case studies, webinars, conference talks, integration walkthrough videos, quickstart demos, and co-marketing launch packages.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to Americas-based Cloud, ISV, OEM, and GSI partners during discovery and opportunity identification.
• Lead architectural discussions, design exercises, and integration planning across partner and customer organizations.
• Support POCs and technical validation for partner solutions and CockroachDB.
• Lead technical conversations with internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance on architecture, deployment, migration, and integration design.
• Build and publish reusable technical assets: validated architectures, integration SDKs, reference implementations, GitHub repos, and proof-of-concept applications.
• Use AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT) in daily workflow to compress support work, generate content, automate reporting, and accelerate asset creation.

• 10+ years in pre-sales, solutions architecture, partner engineering, or technical consulting in cloud technology.
• Visible body of published technical work and GTM content.
• Comfort speaking in front of groups for presentations, webinars, and talks.
• Deep understanding of cloud ecosystems with hands-on experience in at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong hands-on technical skills: build demos, write code, design architectures, run POCs.
• Experience with relational databases, distributed systems, and/or SQL; knowledge of PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, or distributed SQL is a plus.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools and workflows.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of partner economics.
• Self-directed and initiative-driven.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable on camera.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Annual base salary range for U.S. candidates: $188,000—$210,000 USD. Eligible for commission.
